“Would I be able to do it... was a question that repeatedly went through my mind. I took on the challenge because I was tired of not being happy with myself, I was tired of wishing. Now I know this is not a common problem or at least a well advertised problem among today’s health discussions but there are people like myself who, on the other end of the obesity spectrum, have always struggled to gain weight and keep it on. Growing up, I was always bone-thin, frail and not very active. Sports didn't interest me and my parents didn't push me to do any of that so the first time I even ran a mile non-stop and started any regular exercise was when I got ready to enter the Army at age 22. From then on, I gained and lost a few pounds and struggled with staying fit consistently–never really knowing quite what I was doing.
I figured if I gorged myself on any food, I could put some meat on these bones. People told me all I had to do was eat. Fine…I did that, but barely any results. I got fed up with the way I looked and felt. I thought what the hell…I need help from someone who

Change! A word common in today’s society, but many do not like to hear. Not always good, not always bad. One of the biggest changes in my life happened when I was introduced to Emile Jarreau. After experiencing a heart attack in May of this year, change was plenty high on the priority list, yet with caution.
With recommendations from Emile and agreement from my Cardiologist I begin to walk on a regular basis. Just a couple miles per day and changing the diet have made such an impact. I haven’t felt like this in over 30 years. Thanks! Emile.
If someone had told me I would be walking 2 to 4 miles 6 days a week, I would have said, “you’re crazy, not going to happen”. Now, it’s just a part of life (Now, there is a word you can wrap your heart around…life). I recently had my first Cardiologist follow up since working with Emile. Dr. said if all his patients were like me he would be out of business and I should be off all medications by midsummer. Just the simple little changes here and there can change a life forever, but why wait until you are 60 to make those changes?

Let me start by saying that this has not been an easy journey, it’s been exhausting, extremely ridiculed and daunting at times, but happy to say extremely rewarding! When I was at my heaviest I was very unhappy with myself. I'd say sluggish, but honestly I never slow down.
I'm a mother of two beautiful children and a wife to an amazing husband. I work a 9-??? (Never ending) Job and I'm actively involved in church. Sometimes I don't know when my day begins or when it ends. I knew and felt I needed a drastic change. I would look at myself in the mirror and would cringe at the sight of my body. I knew this wasn't how I wanted to look and definitely not how I wanted to feel.

I have been in and out of the M2 schedule a number of times. It was not until I was at my lowest (physically and emotionally) that I decided I needed to go back.
It must have been fate... my first day back in the door was the day prior to the M2 & Tight Curves Transformation Challenge. I thought I would commit in order to get myself back on track and into a healthy routine. Little did I know, exactly HOW challenging and HOW different it would be from the life I was living pre-M2 & tight curves transformation.
My goal was to go from 36% body fat to "my" ideal 12%. 12 weeks doesn't sound like a long time, but it was enough time to be fully committed and hard-working at times, and other weeks, tired and fed-up. If it were not for my fellow competitors and coach, I would have quit! No doubt.
My goal of 12% may have seemed unattainable and discouraging at times, but I knew that if I didn't at least give it my all I would hate myself for never trying. In the short process, I didn't reach my ultimate physique, but then again my coach says I’m blind as a bat and I did manage to go down from 36% to 20% body fat within 11 weeks. Wow!
I not only feel better about myself but I’ve found out that I’m capable of doing even more. I’m becoming a believer. Going this far with a goal has given me the drive and the courage to continue in pursuit of my goals and physical transformation.
